3D characters: import, create and use as a sprite
3D files (GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, VOX…) or characters made in the editor become sprites with costumes per direction and models for the 3D World.
Open the converter
- In the + for a new sprite choose 3D character, or use the 3D button in the Costumes tab, or the button in the 3D Characters category.
Import
- Formats: GLB/GLTF/VRM (the best, with animations), FBX (Mixamo), OBJ + MTL, STL, DAE, PLY, VOX (MagicaVoxel), 3DS, MD2 and 3MF. Add the textures or send everything in a .zip.
- Mixamo animations: import the character and then Add animations with the other FBX files (the file name becomes the animation name).
- Adjust the height, rotate to face forward, mark if the file is Z-up and reduce polygons on heavy models.
Create
- Choose the type (person, robot, zombie, skeleton, alien, knight or animals), the colors, hair, hat and accessory. It comes with idle, walk, run, jump, wave, attack, dance and die.
Output
- 2D costumes: each animation becomes costumes like andar-dir-1, in 1, 2, 4 or 8 directions and side, 3/4, high or top-down view. Works everywhere (2D stage, HTML, WebView, APK). Use animate the 3D character or automatic animation.
- 3D model: an optimized .glb inside the project. In the 3D World, use become 3D body: 3D model of the sprite and play the 3D animation. In third person, player appearance uses a sprite's model.
