Bluetooth BLE or Classic?

Which extension to use with ESP32, HC-05, HM-10 and micro:bit.

  • Bluetooth BLE: low-energy devices with a UART service (ESP32 BLE, HM-10, micro:bit). Works in Chrome/Edge on computers and Android.
  • Bluetooth Classic: SPP serial modules (HC-05, HC-06, ESP32 BluetoothSerial). Pair it in the system and choose the port in Chrome/Edge on a computer. HC-05/HC-06 use 9600.

In both, each message is a line of text. On Arduino: Serial.println("ok"); and Serial.readStringUntil('\n').
